MISSION STATEMENT:
The purpose of the Park County Historic Preservation Commission is to undertake surveys and studies as necessary to compile a list of properties and areas having historical, architectural and/or archaeological significance and to present an action plan to the Board of County Commissioners, if appropriate, for particular cultural properties.  As a Certified Local Government (CLG), the Commission must assume review responsibilities for National Register nominations within its jurisdiction.  Members of the Commission are appointed by the Park County Board of County Commissioners.
